“It is never too late to be what you might have been.” - George Eliot
The idea of being awesome, or remarkable, is appealing to most people. The fear of the failure and ridicule on the path to awesome is daunting. And yet, everyone can be awesome every day. Not the made up, sports, entertainment , political "star" awesome, but genuine, make a difference awesome.
In reality the kind of awesome that changes your life and mine, comes out of being kind and generous. Mother Theresa didn't do anything extraordinary, except show up each day with the intent to help one more. She was kind to those who weren't appealing. She was generous without any expectation or hope of return on her investment. And yet, there aren't too many who wouldn't say she was amazing.
So, what's stopping you? What's stopping me from doing the same thing? Not going to the slums of India necessarily, but to show up each day at work, school, home or wherever with the intention of being kind and generous. Actively looking for opportunities to help someone without expectation of getting something in return. Just to be kind and generous.
I'm willing to guarantee your life will be awesome!
